What are Good Practices in Relation to Harmful Work and how does ILO C.138 Harm Children in Actual Practice ?
These descriptions of good practices with working children show either:
• positive and effective ways of supporting working children that respect their rights and improve their lives without banning them from work as set out under ILO C.138;
• the types of harm caused to working children when they are banned from work as set out under ILO C.138.
These stories are drawn from the real life experiences of working children. Each example highlights specific policy challenges in relation to ILO C.138 and provides recommendations for practical changes that would help improve the lives of working children.
